Max McCormick had 2 goals in Game 3, including the final insurance goal, an empty-net goal with 10 seconds left to put the final dagger into the Wranglers, who kept coming back all night, with quick goals after the Firebirds recaptured the lead.

Marian Studenic had 2 goals for the Firebirds, one while the ‘Birds had a man in the penalty box.

Despite both sides having their frontline goalies in net, it was clear from the outset the shooters were going to have a better night.  Dustin Wolf of Calgary and Chris Driedger of the Firebirds both let in more goals than they typically do.
