Convicted Felons Busted With Large Cache Of Guns, Ammo
On Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 9:00 a.m., Gang Task Force Officers served a search warrant at a home on 12th Street in the City of Beaumont regarding an ongoing firearms investigation.
Here’s what they found.
- 17 firearms
- Various firearm components in varying stages of assembly
- Firearm manufacturing machinery
- Several firearm suppressors
- 4 Ballistic plate carrier vests with steel ballistic plates
- Ballistic helmets
- Numerous large-capacity magazines
- Tens of thousands of rounds of varying caliber ammunition
Officers arrested 54 year old Ronald Partain Jr, and 46 year old Michael Ortega, both of Beaumont. Both are convicted felons and prohibited from possessing firearms.
The Riverside County Gang Task Force is a collaborative effort of several law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Regional Gang Task Force is one of six teams that compose the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Gang Task Force is staffed with members from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Banning Police Department, and Beaumont Police Department.
