Ex-Employee Caught After Armed Robbery In La Quinta

It was very early on Mother’s Day, 2:25 in the morning, when deputies investigated an armed robbery at a business on Highway 111 at Dune Palms Road in La Quinta.

The suspect fled the scene before deputies’ arrived.

Deputies were able to identify the suspect as a former employee at the business.

On Tuesday May 14th at 4:28 in the afternoon, deputies served a search warrant and arrested 28 year old Jose Alfredo Hernandez in Thermal.

They confiscated several firearms and evidence related to the robbery.
