Former Bus Driver Facing Lewd Acts Charges From Years Ago

67 year old Jose Luis Moncada once drove a bus for the for the Coachella Valley Unified School District.

But not anymore, not since his arrest 4 years ago, on charges he was molesting young school girls.

Now more than 4  years later, the court has determined there is enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Charges include seven counts of  lewd acts on a child under 14.

Next court date is June 11th 2024.

Moncada posted a 1-hundred-thousand dollar bond and is a free man right now.

The District Attorney’s Office says the crimes were committed in 2010, but complaints against Moncada were filed as early as 2004.
