Vatican Okays Blessings For Same Sex Couples

Pope Francis has approved a ruling that will allow same-sex couples to receive blessings from the Roman Catholic Church, under certain conditions.
The Vatican announced the landmark decision on Monday December 18th 2023, saying priests can give the blessings if they are not given as part of regular Church rituals.
But the blessings can be given during visits to a shrine, a meeting with a priest, or even during a pilgrimage.
The Pope first opened the door to the possibility of blessings for same-sex couples back in October.
The Vatican said the blessings are a sign that God welcomes all.
