2021 US Open Champion and rising WTA Tour star Emma Raducanu is coming to Indian Wells.

She has been awarded a wild card entry into the BNP Paribas Open,  being held October 4th – 17th, 2021 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Raducanu stunned the tennis world in Flushing Meadows in September 2021, becoming the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam singles title.

This happened after the 18 year old from Great Britain made her major  debut in June 2021 and  made it to the fourth round at Wimbledon.

At the U S Open in New York,  Raducanu defeated ten higher-ranked opponents without dropping a set to win the championship, elevating  her to Number 22 in the world.
