Tennis Star Halep Reinstated

In 2018 Simona Halep won the French Open.

A year later, she knocked off tennis legend Serena Williams to win the 2019 Wimbledon title.

In 2022, Halep tested positive at the U-S Open for a blood-boosting drug that was in her KETO MCT supplement.

The International Court of Arbitration for Sport suspended Halep for four years.

But Halep was won her appeal and her suspension has been reduced, expiring in July 2023.

Halep is 32 now, and will turn 33 in September 2024. She has not played competitive tennis on the WTA Tour in 18 months.

Halep had denied any wrongdoing in the case.

The Court ultimately ruled that Ms. Halep did bear some level of fault or negligence for her violations, as she did not exercise sufficient care when using the Keto MCT supplement, but it concluded that she bore no significant fault or negligence.
