Sheriff Probes Two In-Custody Deaths

The Riverside County Sheriffs Department is now investigating 2 in-custody deaths.   On Friday December 15th 2023, 21 year old Shaundale Booker of Moreno Valley died in the hospital when he failed to respond to treatment and his condition worsened.  He had been recently admitted to a county hospital for a diagnosed illness.

There were no signs of foul play.

Then on Sunday December 17th 2023, at 4:30 in the afternoon, personnel at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside,  found a 29 year old Heather Hendy of Corona unresponsive in her cell.

Efforts to revive her failed.

There were no signs of foul play.

Empty Prison Cell.
