Palm Desert Woman Arrested

53 year old  Kelly Lynette Cronn  of Palm Desert is being charged with  two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and is currently in custody and recovering from her injuries at the Riverside University Health Systems Detention Care Unit.

On Sunday, December 10th  2023, at 2:45 a.m., deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Palm Desert Station were dispatched to the Indian Springs Mobile Home Park on Highway 74 in Palm Desert for a burglary in progress.

Residents were hiding in a bedroom as intruders broke into their house.

Cronn wielded a knife and refused to drop it.

Deputies shot her.  Her injuries are not life-threatening.

Another suspect in the house with Cronn has been released.
