One Person Dead, 22 Hurt; Three People In Custody After Shooting At Kansas City Super Bowl Parade
Three people are in custody after a fatal shooting at the end of of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade.
One person was killed, the victim identified as Disc Jockey Lisa Lopez-Galvan who was hosting a Taste of Tejano event on KKFI radio at the parade.
22 people were hurt. Eleven of the people hurt are under the age of 16.
Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said two of the shooters are juveniles.
It started out as a dispute among several people.
Close to one million people were lining the streets of Kansas City as the city’s Chiefs were celebrating their victory in Super Bowl 58.
Police have yet to determine a motive and they don’t know if the rally was targeted or just happened to be in the way.
