Ohtani Murals Come Tumblin’ Down At Angel Stadium As Baseball Superstar Heads North To The Dodgers
Whatever hatred Los Angeles Angels fans had for the Los Angeles Dodgers, just got bumped up a notch.
The Angels play baseball in Anaheim in Orange County California, but have called themselves the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim since 2005.
But they have always played second fiddle to L-A’s premier team, the Los Angeles Dodgers who play in the heart of the Downtown L-A metro area.
So when baseball superstar Shohei Ohtani, a hug draw for the Angels the past 5 season, became a free agent and signed a 10 year deal to play for the Dodgers, you can understand the disgust on the part of Angels’ fans.
And of course, crews are hard at work taking down all the murals of Shohei Ohtani that have decorated the walls and halls of Angel Stadium the past several years.
Ohtani’s 10-year, seven-hundred million dollar deal to play for the Dodgers is the largest contract in U.S. sports history.
