Mexican Singer Getting Key To Coachella; City Honors Carin Leon

Mexican superstar Carín León is set to take the stage at both the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this weekend, and Stagecoach Festival next weekend.

On Saturday, April 20th 2024, the City of Coachella will formally present Carín with keys to the City. 

The community is invited to gather at the Coachella Library on 7th street at 10:30 a-m Saturday morning  to enjoy live music by Banda Reyna Del Valle, culminating with the Key to the City Ceremony with Mayor Steven Hernandez  and City Council at approximately noon.

Enjoy complimentary light refreshments 10:30 a-m – noon.

Guests will get a keepsake to commemorate the special day.

At the age of 16, Carín León, originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, started writing songs, and singing.

Today he is recognized as a modern icon who has brought the traditions of Música Mexicana to new generations.

Carín has received countless nominations and multiple awards, including an ASCAP award, two Premio Nuestro awards, two Latin GRAMMY ®  awards, and two nominations for the 2023 Billboard Latin

Music Awards, among others.
