Janet Jackson Mural No Match For Wayward Sprinklers

Forget about a wardrobe malfunction, it was a sprinkler malfunction that caused problems for a Janet Jackson mural in downtown Palm Springs.

Amanda Harris-Gibbs spent 14 hours painting a chalk mural of Miss Jackson Thursday January 18th 2024, putting the finishing touches on it, during Villagefest last Thurdsay night January 18th 2024. And even though we had weekend rain in the forecast, the automatic sprinklers were still scheduled to water nearby landscaping Thursday night.

And the sprinklers did their job.

In the process they messed up the job Miss Harris-Gibss had done, painting a large 13 foot mural of Janet Jackson’s Together Again Tour on the sidewalk as fans admired the mural.
