Golden Globes Handed Out In Beverly Hills
The 81st Golden Globes are in the books. Celebrities packed the Beverly Hilton Hotel Sunday night to celebrate the year’s best films, television shows, actors, and actresses. “Oppenheimer” won the Golden Globe for best motion picture drama, while “Poor Things” won for best musical or comedy motion picture.
Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas accepted an award for their song “What Was I Made For” which was listed as Best Original Song for the “Barbie” movie, while Christopher Nolan won an award for Best Motion Picture Director for “Oppenheimer.”
Some other big wins of the night included Ricky Gervais for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television, and Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” for Cinematic And Box Office Achievement. Gerwig picked up an award last week at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Taylor Swift’s “Era’s Tour” concert film did not win a Golden Globe, losing out to “Barbie.”
