Firebirds Split Weekend Set With Abbotsford; Head To San Diego For Wednesday Tilt
The Coachella Valley Firebirds remain in 4th place, after splitting their weekend home series with Abbotsford.
Saturday night, the Firebirds rode 2 goals in the 2nd period, 2 more in the 3rd period to a 4-nothing shutout of the Canucks in front of a sellout crowd of more than 10-thousand fans at Acrisure Arena.

Sunday, the Firebirds scrambled back from a 3-1 deficit to forge a 4-4 tie heading into the final period. They went up with an early 3rd period goal, only to have the Canucks tie the game in the final 2 minutes, forcing overtime.
The game went to a shootout with Abbotsford scoring 1 goal and the Firebirds scoring none.
