Fights, Penalties…And A Firebirds Win Clinches Division Title

The Pacific Division title and a bye in the upcoming first round of the AHL playoffs were at stake when the Coachella Valley Firebirds hosted their rivals, the Ontario Reign Wednesday night.

The Firebirds did not disappoint the 89-hundred fans at Acrisure Arena, scoring 3 goals in the second period, the last one on a penalty shot, as they beat the Reign 3 to 1.  John Hayden scored on the penalty shot, while Max McCormick and Devin Shore had the other two goals for Coachella Valley

Next up for the Firebirds, a home game on Friday April 12th at 7 p-m against Bakersfield.
