DHS Police Bust Car Thieves…And Friends

Desert Hot Springs Police have arrested 4 men and 1 woman in connection to recent vehicle thefts in town. 

On Wednesday  January 10th  2024, at 7:15 in the morning, they served a search warrant at a home on Granada Avenue.

They found several firearms and home-made explosive devices at the home.

The Sheriff’s Hazmat Team was called in to remove the explosives.

Police arrested the following people.

33 year old Zachary Hernandez  for auto theft and violation of post-release community supervision.

31 year old  Carlos Mayorga for being a felon in possession of firearm and ammunition and parole violation warrant. 

34 year old  Jesus Aguilera Jr. for possession of an explosive/destructive device and parole violation.

29 year old LuQuwon Briddell  for parole violation warrant.

32 year old Cecilia Romero on a warrant for drug offenses.
