Deputies Find Drugs & Felons During Search For Golf Cart Thief

Deputies in La Quinta have been looking for the person who stole a golf cart in that town on November 26th 2023.

They have found a lot more than that. 

On Thursday  December 7th  2023, deputies served a search warrant on Indio Boulevard near King Street in Indio.

They confiscated more than a quarter of a pound of methamphetamine, 22 fentanyl pills, equipment use for drug sales, and a loaded 9 mm handgun.

39 year old Lydia Ruiz was arrested for burglary, vehicle theft, possession of drug parphernalia, and probation violation.

29-year-old Erick Maldonado was arrested for possession of narcotics with a loaded firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, and a felon in possession of a firearm. 

29-year-old Brandon White was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale, and 

33-year-old Mestisa Labuen was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for conspiracy.
