Criminal Arrested Following Smash & Grab Robbery; Released; Commits Another Smash & Grab Robbery

A man being linked to several smash and grab robberies in Southern California is now in custody.

24 year old Joshua Lewis of Inglewood was one of seven masked bandits who stormed a jewelry store in the town of Perris in Western Riverside County on Sunday July 30th  2023. Pepper-sprayed the security guard, broke the glass display cases and stormed out with 100-thousand dollars worth of jewelry.

On Tuesday, August 22nd 2023, police officers in Corona, arrested Joshua Lewis following a smash and grab robbery at a store in that town.

And Lewis linked to another smash and grab robbery in Thousand Oaks. However, due to California’s lenient laws, Lewis posted bail and was allowed back out on the streets to commit more crimes.

And it just a matter of time before police caught up with him.

They did on Thursday January 11th 2024 at 9 in the morning, on Main Street in Riverside, where police arrested him.

The other suspects are still on the lam.
