CA Unemployment Rate Is Highest In The USA

California’s March 2024 unemployment rate is holding at 5.3 percent, the highest in the nation.  

Businesses in California hired 28,300 new workers for non-farm jobs in March of 2024.

Jobless claims remained constant.  California has been averaging nearly 26-thousand jobs created per month since the beginning of 2024.
