Ballots Mailed On March 5th 2024 Will Be Arriving At The Registrar Of Voters Office In Riverside This Week; Primary Turnout At 17.2% In Riverside County

As for 4 a-m Thurs March 7th 2024

 

So far, as of 4 o’clock Thursday  morning March 7th 2024,   Riverside County’s voter turnout for the March 5th 2024 Primary is at 17.2%.

 

Counting will resume later this morning, Thursday March 7th 2024.

 

Updates from the Registrar’s Office will be at 6 p-m on Thursday March 7th and Friday March 8th 2024.

 

The Riverside County Registrar of Voters Office mailed out 1.3 million vote by mail ballots.  Many of them are still in the hands of the U-S Postal Service and we don’t know how many there are.

 

228,760 ballots have been counted at the Registrar’s Office in Riverside, and 192,479 were vote by mail ballots that were sent in prior to election day.

 

The Registrar has 166-thousand vote-by-mail ballots that need to be counted.  It also has 3,200 conditional ballots to be counted.

 

If you mailed your ballot on March 5th 2024, it is still in transit to the Registrar’s Office, and has until Tuesday March 12th to arrive and be counted.

 

Only 34, 549  people voted in person at polling stations across the County after the county set up 106 Ballot Drop-off locations, and 148 Vote Centers, and started early voting on February 5th 2024.

Joe Biden, and Donald Trump easily won their primaries for President.

 

Prop 1, the 6.4 Billion dollar bond measure for mental health and drug addiction treatment and housing, the Yes vote has 50%, the No vote has 49%. It needs a simple majority to pass.

In all of the upcoming races, the top two finishers head to the General Election in November 2024.

 

In the U-S Senate race statewide, Full-Term, Adam Schiff leads Steve Garvey 33 to 32 percent.  Katie Portie managed just 13%. Barbara Lee who has been in the U S House of Representatives for a quarter of a  century, grabbed just 7 percent of the vote. Her post election comments blamed the fact that corporate support is not in favor of a progressive black woman.

 

Former T-V News Reporter Christina Pascucci has less than 1 percent.

 

In the Partial Term race to fill out this current term of late U S Senator Dianne Feinstein… Steve Garvey has 34%, Adam Schiff has 30%, Katie Porter has 16%, Barbara Lee 9% 

 

It will be Garvey vs Schiff in the Partial Term and Full-Term races on the November 2024 ballot.  The Partial Term winner will serve in the U S Senate for just 3 months.

The Full Term winner will serve a 6 year term starting in January 2025.

25th Congressional District covers Riverside, Imperial and San Bernardino Counties. 

Raul Ruiz is the incumbent, and he has 48%.  Ian Weeks has 19%, Cecilia Truman has 16%, Indio City Councilman Oscar Ortiz has 8%.

It will be Ruiz vs Weeks in the general election November 2024

 

41st Congressional District is entirely in Riverside County.

Ken Calvert is the incumbent and has 50%, Will Rollins has 41%, Anna Nevenic has 8%.

35th Congressional District covers parts of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. 

Norma Torres is the incumbent has 48%, Mike Cargile has 39%.

 

39th Congressional District in Riverside County 

Mark Takano is the incumbent and has  56%, David Serpa has 43%

 

40th Congressional District is in Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties.

Young Kim is the incumbent, and has 57%, Joe Kerr has 25%

 

48th Congressional District is in Riverside and San Diego Counties.

Darrell Issa is the incumbent, and has 61%, Stephen  Houlahan has 15%.

The newly redrawn California Senate District 19 will cover Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. 

Rosilie Ochoa Bogh has 51%, Lisa Middleton has 49%.   Bogh is the solid choice among San Bernardino County voters, while Middleton is the choice among Riverside County voters.

California Senate District 31 is in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

45% for Cynthia Navarro, 39% for Sabrina Cervantes

CA Assembly District 36 in  Imperial, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties

Eduardo Garcia’s seat. He is not seeking re-election

Jeff Gonzalez has 34%,  Joey Acuna Jr has 18%.  Edgard Garcia has 15%, Kaline Morse almost 11%, and Indio City Councilman Waymond Fermon has 8%

 

CA Assembly District 47 in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties

Greg Wallis incumbent. Christy Holstege has 49%, Greg Wallis has 45%

Wallis doing well in San Bernardino County, and Holstege doing well in Riverside County

 

CA Assembly District 58  covers Riverside and San Bernardino Counties

No incumbent. Leticia Castillo 47%, Ronald Fiero and Clarissa Cervantes have 26% each and just 62 votes separate them.

 

CA Assembly District 60  in Riverside County

Corey Jackson is the incumbent and has 52%,  Ron Edwards has 28%, Hector Diaz Nava has 20%

 

CA Assembly  District 63 Riverside County

Bill Assayli is the incumbent and has 59%, Chris Shoults has 37%

 

 

Measure A School Bond Measure in Desert Sands Unified School District, the Yes votes have 57%, the No votes have 42%.   In order to pass, Measure A needs at least 55% Yes votes.
