2024 Super Bowl Sets TV Viewing Record

More people in the U S tuned in to watch Super Bowl 58 than any other television program in history.

Nielsen and Adobe Analytics have crunched the numbers on Sunday’s game between  the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49’ers, won by the Chiefs in overtime 25-22 overtime.

On average, 123.4 million people were watching the game at any given time Sunday.

The game was televised by CBS, Nickelodeon and Univision and streamed on Paramount+ as well as the NFL’s digital platforms.

Nielsen also reports  a record of  202.4 million watched at least part of the game across all networks, compared to 183.6 million in 2023.

Last year’s Chief win over the Eagle in Super Bowl 57 had 115.1 million viewers.
