Two fifteen year old boys and a 19 year old man from Indio are all in custody, facing charges of attempted murder and mayhem.
This stems from a shooting in Coachella on July 26th 2023 that left a Coachella resident with serious injuries.
On July 26, 2023, at 9:36 p.m., deputies were called to Calle Techa, in the City of Coachella, regarding a shooting.
Deputies found a 32-year-old Coachella resident suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital and is recovering.
During the investigation, the suspects were positively identified as Jeraldo Mederos, a 19-year-old resident of Indio, and two 15-year-old juveniles from Coachella.
On August 2nd, 2023, investigators arrested one of the 15-year-old juveniles on Oasis Street in the City of Indio.
On August 15th, 2023, investigators arrested the other 15-year-old juvenile on Frederick Street in the City of Coachella.
On August 16th, 2023, police arrested Jeraldo Mederos (photo above) on Arabia Street, in the City of Indio.
Jeraldo Mederos was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio for Attempt Murder, Mayhem, felony child endangerment, and probation violation.
The 15-year-old juveniles were booked at Juvenile Hall in the City of Indio for Attempt Murder and Mayhem.
