An 8 month old English Bulldog has died after being rescued from a home in Coachella where illegal marijuana production was taking place.
County animal control officers rescued the dog Wednesday night July 21st 2021 from the home on Calle Colima.
The Sheriffs Department is conducting an investigation at that home after finding an illegal marijuana growing operation, and finding the mange-ridden dog in one of the bedrooms.
The dog was rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic. It was blind and could not walk.
The dog died on Thursday July 22nd.
Pending a necropsy report, the owner of the dog could face animal cruelty charges.
