Once again the World Health Organization is ripping wealthy countries like the United States, saying the unequal distribution of  Covid-19 vaccines around the world is threatening the global economic recovery.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says as a result of vaccine inequity, new variants like Omicron are emerging and are a “killer of people and jobs.”

Tedros adds world leaders not working together to increase vaccine distribution was one of the biggest failures of last year.

The WHO has a goal to vaccinate 70-percent of the population of every country in the world by the middle of 2022.
