Visitor Dies After Crashing Hi-Tech Scooter

A man who crashed into a tree while riding a dockless scooter in downtown San Diego has died.
The tourist from Georgia was critically injured last week on a sidewalk near 10th Avenue and B Street.
It’s the city’s first death involving a dockless scooter.
Authorities say the man wasn’t wearing a helmet and the crash remains under investigation.
