USA Gymnastics is agreeing to a settlement with the victims of former national team doctor Larry Nassar.

The settlement with the U.S. Olympic And Paralympic Committee is forĀ  380-million-dollars and it brings to an end a legal fight that has lasted nearly 5 years.

The payment is one of the largest ever recorded for victims of sex abuse and involves hundreds of athletes who had been assaulted over 30 years.

The settlement involves high-profile names such as Olympians Simone Biles and Aly Raisman, who encountered Nassar while seeking treatment when competing for local clubs.

Nassar pleaded guilty to sex abuse and child pornography charges and will spend the rest of his life in prison with no chance of getting out.
