Uber’s been hacked.

Thursday September 15th  Uber officials tweeted that the company was “responding to a cybersecurity incident” and that authorities have been notified.

Uber tells the Washington Post that the hacker posted a message on the Slack platform announcing the data breach, claiming to have wide-ranging access inside Uber’s corporate networks, and was  motivated to conduct the hack by Uber’s treatment of its drivers.

An Uber breach in 2016 revealed the personal information of about 57-million people from around the world.
