The August 31st 2021 deadline for the United States to be out of Afghanistan has arrived.

The final flights departed Kabul Airport with the remaining members of the miltary.

There are a couple hundred American citizens still in Afghanistan, who did make it to the airport to get onboard the final flights.

The final weeks of evacuations were chaotic, as U-S troops took control of the airport in Kabul, as the Taliban took control of the rest of the country.

A terrorist attack near the airport on August 26th 2021, killed 13 U-S military members.
