Students applying for admission to the University of California will no longer have to submit their SAT or ACT scores.
The Board of Regents has suspended the standardized test requirement for all first year student applicants until the fall of 2024.
U-C President Janet Napolitano (photo above) says in the meantime, U-C will be working on developing a new test specifically for their universities.
Work on the new test will start this summer and is expected to be complete by January 2021.
