Two Young Gangsters Jailed

For law-abiding residents of the desert, who are contributing to quality of life in the desert, the headlines of criminal gang activity in the valley don’t stop.

On Friday, November 12th 2021  the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau, was hard at work at 11:30 in the morning, rounding up more gang members.

The Task Force conducted  a vehicle stop at Los Felices Circle and San Rafael Road on the North End of  Palm Springs.  They grabbed two teenage males,  ages 16 and 17, and found both suspects carrying loaded firearms.  One of the guns was a stolen weapon. Both teens are convicted felons already, and documented criminal street gang members, and they’re not even old enough to vote.

Task Force members then headed to Two Bunch Palms Trail in Desert Hot Springs, and found more evidence.

Following the vehicle stop, Gang Task Force Units and Special Enforcement Bureau Units served a search warrant at a residence located in the 66000 block of Two Buch Palms Trail in Desert Hot Springs. During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Units located additional evidence related to the investigation.

Both juveniles were taken to Juvenile Hall in Indio and booked on the following charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Possession of a Concealed Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
