Two Simi Valley Residents Killed In Murder-Suicide In Rancho Mirage

Two people from suburban Los Angeles were killed in Rancho Mirage last weekend.
At 2:15 Sunday afternoon November 12th 2023, deputies were called to Lyon Street in Rancho Mirage to investigate an attempted suicide.
It turned out to be worse than that.
Deputies found 61 year old Carl Ashcroft of Simi Valley dead at the scene from a gunshot wound. 55 year old Kathryn Ashcroft of Simi Valley was rushed to the hospital and died there from gunshot wounds.
It is being investigated as a murder/suicide.
