The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the Health Resources and Services Administration, is handing out more than 12 million tax dollars from hard-working Americans to 188 Community Health Centers in California.
The money won’t be used to actually help sick people, but instead, it will be used to “advance health equity through better data collection and reporting.”
Only 2 area clinics are getting money from the program.
DAP Health Palm Springs is getting 65,500 dollars, and Borrego Health Foundation in Borrego Springs is getting the same amount.
The rest of the facilities getting a piece of the pie are in other areas of California.
