The U-S Supreme Court has reaffirmed the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms.

The High Court has ruled in a New York case,  that people can carry a concealed handgun for self-defense.

The vote was 6 to 3.

New York is one of eight states that would deny a concealed weapon permit to anyone if “they have not demonstrated a strong reason to carry a weapon in public.”   Seven other states, including California, have similar laws that will be impacted by the Court’s ruling.

SCOTUS ruled that requiring people to demonstrate they have strong reasons to carry a concealed gun in pubic, is a violation of a person’s Constitutional Right to Bear Arms.   The Second Amendment mentions noting about a person having to prove why they need to carry a concealed gun in public.   The Second Amendment simply grants a person a Constitutional right to do so.
