Social Workers Still On Strike At Kaiser; No Contract Talks Scheduled

The National Union of Healthcare Workers is seeking an immediate audit of Kaiser HealthCare hospice services.

Kaiser is trying to provide  care to its patients even though the professionals Kaiser hired to provide that care, have been on strike for 5 weeks.

Kaiser’s 2,400 mental health therapists, social workers, psychologists and psychiatric nurses are on strike around Southern California.

Now a complaint filed on Nov 15th 2024, with the California Department of Public Health, by the National Union of Healthcare Workers, claims that Kaiser is severely understaffed at its medical and hospice facilities due to the labor strike.

There are still no bargaining sessions scheduled between Kaiser and the Labor Union.
