Four people have been killed onboard a private airplane that crashed into a neighborhood near El Cajon in Eastern San Diego County.
The FAA has released new information saying there were four people onboard the airplane when it took off from John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana California Monday night December 27th 2021.
The plane was headed for Gillespie Field Airport in the city of El Cajon when it went down Monday night in a residential area.
It took out several power lines before it crashed and burst into flames.
It took rescue crews more than an hour to put out the fire.
First responders did not find any survivors. No homes were hit, but debris did hit at least one car in the area.
This comes just over two months after another plane crashed in a neighborhood in the nearby city of Santee, killing two people.
