The United States Supreme Court has ruled on an education case in Maine,  allowing vouchers to be used to send students to private schools in some rural areas of the United States.

In a 6-3 decision, the High Court ruled public vouchers are allowable for private and religious schools in rural areas of the U.S.

The State of Maine had a law in place,  limiting how parents could use public vouchers to send their children to school of their choice.

the U S Supreme Court has ruled that the law in Maine violated religious freedom , by not allowing parents to use the vouchers  to send children to religious-oriented schools.
