The second phase of the San Pablo Avenue streetscape improvement project will begin Wednesday, November 4th 2020 at 7 a.m.
In stage one of this second phase, the intersection of San Pablo Avenue and Magnesia Falls Drive will be closed.
Magnesia Falls will also be closed between Monterey Avenue and the Palm Desert Aquatic Center driveway, which will remain open during construction.
San Pablo will be closed between Magnesia Falls and the entrances to College of the Desert and Civic Center Park (north entrance). The partial road closures will allow for construction of a roundabout and other improvements.
Access to Civic Center Park, Palm Desert City Hall, and offices in the Civic Center complex will be available via Fred Waring Drive and San Pablo Avenue.
Delays are possible and motorists are encouraged to allow extra time or use alternate routes such as Monterey Avenue, Fred Waring Drive or Portola Avenue.
Stage two of the project is expected to take place between January and June 2021 and will require the full closure of San Pablo between Fred Waring and Magnesia Falls.
