San Fran Voters Dump Progressive DA In Recall Vote

The son of the husband and wife  convicted in the 1981 Rockland County New York Brinks armored truck robbery, is looking for work.  He is been ousted from his job as San Francisco District Attorney.

Voters successfully recalled Chesa Boudin in the June 7th 2022 Primary, with 60% of voters voting to recall him, 40% of voters wanted to keep Boudin in office.

The 41-year-old Boudin, a staunch liberal, was part of a group of progressive prosecutors nationwide who pledged to hold police accountable and relax bail laws, but voters in San Francisco held him accountable for politcies that let criminals out of jail early, and led to soaring crime rates.

Boudin successfully pushed for the release of his father, David Gilbert, the driver in the Brinks robbery and shootout that left two Nyack New York officers and a security guard dead.

Boudin’s mother died in May 2022, and  did serve a  20 year prison sentence for her role in the Brinks robbery and killing.   She was paroled in 2003.
