County animal services officers have rescued a dog from the All American Canal in North Shore.

They were helped by teams from Cal Fire Station #41 and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The sides of the canal are steep and slippery and the dog could not get out on his own on Wednesday afternoon November 4th 2021.

Eventually officers were able to secure the dog with ropes and lift him out of the canal.

The dog is a 6-year-old Golden Retriever, currently staying at the  Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms.   If the owner does not claim the dog, he will be put up for adoption.
