Postal Service Promising Faster 2022 Holiday Gift Delivery

The U-S Postmaster General says the Postal Service is ready for the busy holiday season despite falling short of delivery standards in 2020.

Louis DeJoy says the Postal Service is investing in new package sorting machines and hiring new workers to prepare for the busy holiday season.

This comes after an October in which they missed their goal of delivering on time by four-percent.

Pressure is on USPS following lengthy delivery delays and lofty demands in 2020 due to increased online shopping.

DeJoy says the postal agency was “overwhelmed” in 2020, saying this year would be better.
