Petition Gaining Steam; Rap Fans Turn Against Travis Scott

Several thousand people have now signed an online petition, urging the organizers of Coachellafest to remove rapper Travis Scott from the lineup  for the April 2022 event.

On Friday November 5th 2021,¬† eight people were killed in a stampede during Scott’s performance at the Astroworld event in Houston.

Despite fans get pushed and shoved and squeezed, and screaming for help, Scott performed for another half-hour, finishing his concert.

Scott claims he didn’t know what was happening in the crowd. The change.org petition garnering signatures names Coachella organizers Goldenvoice, AEG, and Paul Tollet, asking them to keep Scott away from the festival in April.

Scott is paying the funeral expenses of the people killed at the Astroworld Festival.
