Palm Springs School District Hires Interim School Superintendent For Permanent Post

A nationwide search by the Palm Springs Unified School District  Board of Education has led the Board to one conclusion… the next School Superintendent should be the guy who currently has the job.

So, Interim School Superintendent Dr. Tony Signoret has been hired to be the new  School Superintendent.  He has held the Interim post for close to  6 months

His contract runs from January 1st 2024 through June 30th 2025.

The job pays 290-thousand dollars per year.

At least 40 people inquired about the position, and 22 applied, before the School Board decided it would keep Dr Signoret at the helm of the school district he has worked in for some 30 years going back to his days as a teacher at Agua Caliente Elementary School in Cathedral City.

Dr Signoret is the first Hispanic School Superintendent in the Palm Springs Unified School District.
