The Palm Springs School District Board of Education has hired a new School Superintendent.

And the District did not have to go far to find him.

He is Dr Mike Swize, and he’ll start work on July 1st 2021.

He’s currently working as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in the Palm Springs School District.

He’s replacing Dr Sandra Lyon who is retiring after 5 years as School Superintendent.

He was also Director of English Learners and Elementary Curriculum.
