Palm Springs Names Interim City Manager

Palm Springs Assistant City Manager  Teresa Gallavan will serve as Interim City Manager once the current City Manager, Justin Clifton, departs on September 16th 2022.

The City Council opting to appoint Gallavan to the Interim post while the city embarks on an executive search to find Clifton’s replacement.

A couple of years ago, the City’s nationwide search effort led to the hiring of Clifton who was working at the City Manager in Sedona Arizona at the time.

Gallavan was hired as Assistant City Manager in Palm Springs in October of 2021.

She has served as City Manager in  Selma, California for three years prior to her coming to Palm Springs.

Gallavan also worked for the County of Riverside Economic Development Agency for 15 years, and has held administrative posts in the City of Lompoc.
