Ohtani’s Record-Setting Home Run Ball Sells For More Than 4 Million Dollars At Auction

The ball Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani hit for his 50th home run this season has sold at auction for 4.392 million dollars.

That is the most anyone has ever paid for any ball used in a game.

The previous most expensive baseball was Mark McGwire’s record-breaking 70th home run ball from the 1998 MLB season, which sold for 3 million dollars.

Ohtani’s 50th home run ball cemented him as the only player in baseball  history to hit  50 home runs and steal 50 bases in the same season.
