The suspect who was shot by police in Orange California on Wednesday March 31st 2021 remains hospitalized, and his murder trial is on hold, as a result.
44 year old Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez shot and killed 4 people in an office building, before police shot him.
Now he is in the hospital, and his arraignment has been postponed twice.
The judge in the case has ordered defense attorneys to go to the hospital room and set up a video conference call, so the judge can see what condition Gonzalez is in.
But the defense team says it does not have permission from Gonzalez to set up a remote video conference call in his hospital room, and cannot get that permission because Gonzalez is unable to communicate.
Gonzalez shot and killed 4 people he knew, including a 9 year old boy. The attack was not random. Gonzalez had personal and professional relationships with the victims prior to the shooting.
Gonzalez has a criminal history involving child abuse, child endangerment, assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
