The Biden administration says more two-million Americans  have enrolled for healthcare through the Affordable Care Act during the 2021 enrollment period.

That period opened on February 15th and has been extended to August 15th 2021.

With the latest enrollments, the White House says  81-million people will receive healthcare under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Those are people who are not offered health care coverage through their employers, or people who don’t work at all, possibly former workers who were laid off during the government pandemic lockdowns of 2020 and 2021.

Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra says recent enrollment shows there’s demand for “high-quality, low-cost health coverage.”
