No DUI Arrests At 8 Hour DUI Checkpoint In Coachella

There were no arrests for alcohol and drug impairment after deputies stopped more than 6-hundred vehicles near Cesar Chavez Street and Avenue 50 in Coachella on Friday night September 15th.

However, the 8 hour DUI checkpoint did result in 27 people being stopped for not having a driver’s license, and 1 person nabbed for having a suspended license.

Two people had drugs with them, 2 more were in violation of their probation, and 9 had various traffic violations.
