Well, a high percentage of those ‘kids’ have indeed struck out and are now moving back into your home.
We are not talking about 5 year olds. We are talking about 35 year olds.
A survey of 3,500 by ISoldMyHouse.com shows 62% of people in California between 18 and 35, have moved back in with their parents over the past year. Nationally only 36% have moved back in with Mom and Dad.
15% of parents in California say they feel burdened by this.
15% say they have had to delay retirement plans in order to support their adult children.
72% of the adult children who are moving back in with their parents in California, say doing so is fine.
